Charles Wendell Hilton

On February 2, 2023, Charles Wendell Hilton, loving husband and father, entered into eternal rest at age 69. Charles was born in 1954 to the late Wendell and Reba Hilton in Charleston, SC. After earning his bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston, he worked as an electrical contractor for 45 years.

He will be sorely missed by his wife, Peggy; his children: Heather, Jackie, Matt, and Marianne; his grandchildren: Jacob, Kyleigh, Lilly, and Alexis; his brother, Frederick (wife Ceely); and many family, in-laws, and friends too numerous to list — but not forgotten.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, at Folly Beach United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to his church (follybeachumc.com) or to the Charles Hilton Memorial Fund at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
