Charles Edward Hembree, 68, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Debbie Posey Hembree died Monday, July 18, 2016. His Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 in the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends on Friday in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 10:00 am until time of the service.
Charles was born August 9, 1947 in Anderson, South Carolina, son of the late Claude Peyton Hembree and the late Cora Bell Loftis Hembree. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an Electrical Engineer, was an artist, loved people and enjoyed doing woodworking projects. Charles was an avid Clemson Tiger fan, loved fishing, old cars and loved the Lord. He was an active member of St. Andrew's Church Mount Pleasant and was an active member of his home church, Taylor Memorial Church in Anderson, SC. He was a wonderful husband, father grandfather and great grandfather and loved and adored his family.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hembree of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Diana Hembree Harbin (Tony) of Anderson, SC; son, Justin Hembree (Brooke) of Mount Pleasant, SC; four granddaughters, Kathleen Harbin Black of Anderson, SC, Mary Catherine Harbin of Anderson, SC, Logan Reese Hembree of Mount Pleasant, SC and Carter Reid Hembree of Mount Pleasant, SC; one grandson, Charles Anthony Harbin of Anderson, SC; great granddaughter, Parker Elizabeth Black of Anderson, SC.
