Chuck graduated from Moultrie High School in the class of 1967 before attending the University of South Carolina. Chuck went on to own the successful business, Charles F. Drose Jr. Plumbing Company. Chuck excelled in installing plumbing in many houses in the Charleston area. He enjoyed the challenge of major renovations in some of Historic Charleston's illustrious homes. Chuck took pride in the multimillion dollar houses he worked on, but he was also proud to install water lines to the Samaritan's Purse temporary housing after Hurricane Hugo.
Chuck enjoyed spending time with friends and family throughout his life. He loved his wife, and theirs was a true love story. It was not uncommon to find them riding around spending time together on various adventures. He grew up in a large family, and had many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the area. He had fond memories of his football days at Moultrie.
Chuck loved being outside camping, hiking, fishing, kayaking, making memories with family at the lake house where he loved watching for all of the pond wildlife, working in the yard, and playing endless games with family.
His daughters knew he would be there to support them for every sporting event or performance they participated in. They knew they could merely ask, and he would do everything possible to help them. He was also proud to support his grandchildren in all of their interests. Chuck's grandchildren would describe him as loyal, fun, and kind.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne Dodds Drose; his daughters, Patricia Frances Holmes and Leslie Annette Drose; his son-in-law, Gilbert Larry Holmes; his grandchildren, Larry Charles Holmes and Miriam Olivia Holmes: his Aunt Rena Nichols (Vic); and niece, Christi Burmester.
