Charles "Charlie" B. Albrecht II, 69, of Georgetown, South Carolina, husband of Carole Parker Albrecht entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 25, 2024. His Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
Charlie was born December 9, 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Rev. Fleetwood James Albrecht and the late Martha Ellen Jones Albrecht. To pursue his dreams of a career in sports coverage, he attended the University of South Carolina, majoring in Media Arts and Journalism. A son of the lowcountry, Charlie worked as a shrimper, enjoying the water and the pluff mud and becoming a member of the East Cooper Outboard Motor Club. A master carpenter, he specialized in custom cabinetry. He also worked in management with Harris Teeter. Charlie was a faithful member of the Church of the Holy Cross. He will be remembered for the way he loved his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Carole; brother, Fleetwood J. Albrecht, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Helen Berg (James) of Mt. Pleasant; brother-in-law Edward Miller; many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews; godson, John Michael Gray; goddaughter, Anna Jarman Zitnick; and brother and sister-in-law, Sonny and Allie Parker. He was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Miller and godson, Evan Jarman.
