Charles Walter Brewer, III

Charles Walter Brewer, III, 84, of Edisto Island, South Carolina, husband of Leilani Robinson Brewer, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 11, 2024. His memorial service will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 in the St. Andrew's Church Ministry Center, 440 Whilden Street, at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.
 
Charles was born March 15, 1939 in New Orleans, Louisiana, son of the late Charles Walter Brewer Jr. and Grace George Brewer. Charles was a graduate of Wake Forest University and served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He later pursued a career in textile manufacturing and retired as an executive.

He was known for his boundless energy and his willingness to explore anything and everything. He charmed everyone with a constant sparkle in his eye. Charles absolutely adored his family, spending much time with them on Edisto, Island.
 
In addition to his wife, Charles is survived by his daughters, Kelly Grace Brewer and Kristen Elizabeth Brewer; grandchildren, Jessica Grace Brewer and Justin McArthur Brewer; great-granddaughter, Lilly Mae McArthur; and brothers, George Morgan Brewer (Jennie) and Robert P. Williams (Patty). In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert Pershing Williams.
 
Memorial donations can be made in Charles' memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
