Charles Alexander Elmore, Jr, 91, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Marjorie Nolen Elmore, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 5, 2025. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, February 13, 2025 in the Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Hwy. at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Thursday, one hour prior to the service. 

Charles was born December 1, 1933 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Charles Alexander Elmore, Sr. and Amanda Jones Elmore. Charles was a charter member of Ashley River Baptist Church, where he was deacon, Sunday school teacher, and was a member of multiple committees. He graduated from North Greenville Junior College. Charles was a United States Airforce Veteran. He retired from South Carolina Ports Authority. In his later years, Charles enjoyed sending greeting cards to his friends and family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by step-son, Kenneth Vick (Elicia) of Pheonix, AZ; sister, Martha Cathcart (Bob) of Laurens, SC; brother, James Elmore (Marie) of Charleston, SC; and will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ashley River Baptist Church, Faith Moving Forward Campaign.
