Cecil William Wright

Cecil William Wright, 87, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Conway Haney Wright, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Monday, July 21, 2014, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Cecil was born April 6, 1927 in Albemarle, North Carolina, son of the late Fred and Foye Thomas Wright. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during WWII, and went on to build a career as a construction project manager. Cecil was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Mount Pleasant. He was a Mason, and enjoyed fishing, bird hunting, throwing darts, but especially he loved living in Mount Pleasant.

He is survived by daughter, Janet Thames (Marvin) of Awendaw, SC; two sons, Ken Wright (Melissa) of Simpsonville, SC, and Tim Wright (Lynn) of Hollywood, SC; his grandchildren, Krysti Farrell (Tim) and their children, Frankie Herndon, Kristin Rogers, and Zachary Farrell, Valentino N. Fazi III (Jamie) and their children, Valentino N. Fazi IV, Trey Nolf, and Lydia Townsend, Wendy Martin (John) and their children, Winter Dodd, Johnny Martin IV, and Rebecca Martin, Adam Wright, Jordan Finlay (Kellyn), Alex Finlay (Rebecca) and Angela Jerome (Joey) and their daughter, Gracie Lynn. He was also survived by seven great-great-grandchildren.
