Cathy Ann Lunsford

Cathy Ann Lunsford departed this life on November 23, 2014. She was born in Charleston, SC on March 14, 1961. She was a graduate of St. Andrew's Parish High School and made her home in Wilmington, NC. She loved her family, friends, plants, animals, babysitting, the ocean, salt air, the beach, waves, sand, pink flamingoes, finding seashells, driftwood and sea glass, country music, lighthouses, creating and crafting, and NASCAR.

Cathy had many talents but her greatest was the ability to always have a smile on her face and bring a smile to the faces of those she met. Please join the family for a celebration of her life on Saturday December 6, 2014 at J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, Charleston, SC 29414, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Cathy wanted this to be a celebration so please wear comfortable clothes; bring a smile, a cheerful heart, and stories to share. She is survived by her mother, Peggy Lunsford, her sister Laura Livingston, her brother in law Michael, nephews and nieces, Will, Thomas, Margaret, Denison, and Marie. She is predeceased by her father, Gary Lunsford.

Cathy had a big heart so it's no surprise she had a passion for animal rescue. In lieu of flowers, please honor her memory with a donation to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, N. Charleston, SC 29406.

Cathy's life was rich with friendship and that was her best gift to us. Help us celebrate her life and passage to her new home with her father and Jesus Christ.
