Catherine Freeman Owen

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of October 21, 2010, Catherine Freeman Owen, widow of William A. Owen. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Catherine F. Owen are invited to attend her funeral service, Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 am at J. HENRY STUHR DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Burial, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Stuhr's Downtown Chapel on Sunday, between 5:00 and 7:00.

Mrs. Owen was born November 30, 1913 in Jasper County, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Lawrence D. Freeman and Dona Faulk Freeman. Catherine was a Past Worthy Matron of the Charleston Chapter #56 Order of the Eastern Star, Lawrence Howell Amaranth Court # 7. Catherine retired after 20 years from the Cigar Factory as an inspector, and then at Citadel Square Baptist Church where she retired after 20 years of service.

She is survived by her daughter: Lois O. Wellman of Charleston, SC, two grandchildren, Laura W. Eberhardt , Stacey W. Denaux and her husband Darrell both of Charleston, SC,  two great grandchildren: Owen T. Eberhardt and Catherine G. Denaux.
