Catherine Studemeyer Halsall Lee, 89, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Walter Burn "Mouse" Halsall and Robert E. Lee, Jr., entered into eternal rest Monday, September 2, 2013. Her funeral services will be held Friday, September 6, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel.
Catherine was born February 20, 1924 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Andrew Studemeyer and Geneva Hoff Studemeyer. She was a graduate of Memminger High School. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church, Charleston Elks Lodge #242 Auxiliary and the Charleston Rifle Club Ladies Auxiliary.
Catherine was a loving mother to many, not just her children grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always showed unconditional love to all of her family. Catherine was a Christian and tried to instill Christian values to all her family. There were always people in her home and always food and drinks for anyone who came through her door. She loved you, but would let you know if she thought you were wrong. She loved to laugh, dance and have fun with her family most of all. She will be sorely missed by her family and all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Andy Grooms of Charleston, SC; four daughters, Patricia G. Witcher (Tommy) of Ravenel, SC, Mary Catherine Halsall, Monica Halsall Gregory, Janet Halsall Wohnig, all of Charleston, SC; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
