Catherine Allison Howell Crawford

Catherine Allison Howell Crawford, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of the late Darrell John Crawford, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 22, 2023. The family will receive friends Friday, April 28, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm where an evening prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm.  

Cathy was born October 12, 1946, in Berkeley County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lewis Preston Howell and the late Olive Mae Howard Howell. She is a graduate of St. Stephen High School (1964) and graduated from Cosmetology School soon after. She was married to her beloved husband for 39 years and they spent much of their time together shagging and dancing the night away at the local Elks Lodge. A charitable soul at heart, she often gave to those in need. She adored her grandchildren and had many lifelong friends.  

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Wayne Turn Jr. (Sara) of Charleston, SC and Richard Lewis Turn (Carrie) of San Mateo, FL; and two grandchildren, Megan Turn (19) and Daniel Turn (16).
