Catherine Agnes Bloser

Catherine Agnes Bloser of Mount Pleasant, SC passed into eternal rest on July 15th, 2024 after a brief illness at the age of 91.

She was born Catherine Agnes Pesta on April 2, 1933 in Mingo Junction, OH. She graduated from the University of Ohio with a degree in Home Economics. While at the University of Ohio she met the love of her life Henry (Hank) Michael Bloser. After marrying Hank in 1955, she joined him in Germany while he was in military service. Her first child Steven was born in Germany and later she would have two other children, Susan and Michael. She spent several years teaching in Ohio for public and Catholic schools and would later volunteer her time to teach children with learning disabilities.

After moving to Forest City, NC, Catherine was active with multiple organizations, including the President of Rutherford Hospital Auxiliary and President of Church Council and Ladies Guild of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Forest City, NC. She later moved to Charleston, SC to be closer to her immediate family.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Cavano (Lee) of North Olmstead, OH; son, Michael Bloser (Jill) of Mount Pleasant, SC; sister, Helen Pesta of Alexandria, VA; daughter-in law, Tammy Bloser of Summerville, SC; brother-in-law, Paul Blair of Phoenix, AZ and a number of grandchildren; great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Michael Bloser; son, Steven Michael Bloser; parents, Susan and John Pesta; and brother, John Pesta.

Private burial will be at Eternal Hill Memorial Park in Forest City, NC where she be laid to rest next to her husband Hank of 32 years.
