Cary Thomas Grayson

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of July 1, 2012, Cary Thomas Grayson, Sr., husband of Eleanor Bergin Grayson of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Cary T. Grayson, Sr. are invited to attend the funeral services of the former Tuesday, July 3, 2012, in Westminster Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday at J HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL (3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway) from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Born October 31, 1934 in Charleston, SC, Cary was the son of the late Marsh Legare Grayson and Mabel Tisdale Grayson. He was a former member of Sertoma, the Charleston Elks Lodge, a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, and baseball coach. Cary retired following 46 years of service with RM Industrial (Garco) Products in technical sales and marketing. He was a member and Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife of 57 years Eleanor of Charleston; daughter Carol G. Buddin (Stephen) of Summerville, SC; 2 sons C. Tommy Grayson, Jr. (Marsha) and David M. Grayson (Lesa), both of Charleston; 2 sisters Miriam Jeffers (Jeff) of Columbia, SC, Maureen Martin of Lehigh Acres, FL; a brother William H. Grayson (Cheryl) of Charleston; 8 grandchildren Al Buddin, Brad Buddin, Grayson Buddin, Cary Grayson III, Michael Grayson, David M. "Maury" Grayson, Jessica Grayson, and Andrew Grayson; and sister-in-law Harriet Brummett of Charleston. Cary was predeceased by a sister, Zada Jackson and brother, Robert Grayson.

Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1157 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, Charleston, SC 29407.
