Carter Stephen Ainsworth, 22, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 12, 2016. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 18, 2016 in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 405 King Street at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Downtown Chapel.
Carter was born November 2, 1994, in Charleston, South Carolina, son of T. Dale Ainsworth and Lisa Holladay Ainsworth. He graduated from Wando High School. A senior at Clemson University, he was an excellent student, majoring in Biological Science and was on the President's List. He was applying to medical school and had plans to become a family doctor. Carter loved the Lord, his family, and his friends. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, where he was involved in mission work. He greatly enjoyed music and was very talented in sports. He found peace in nature, especially being on the water, and boating in Charleston. He had a contagious, happy spirit and was a bright light in the lives of many.
He is survived by his parents: T. Dale Ainsworth and Lisa Holladay Ainsworth of Mt. Pleasant; sister, Caroline M. Ainsworth of Mount Pleasant, SC; maternal grandfather, Joseph S. Holladay of Winston-Salem, NC; three uncles: E. Blair Holladay, PhD, Steve Holladay, and Reg Holladay; and aunt, Lavon A. Ballance.
He was predeceased by his grandmothers: Carolyn Holladay and Madolyn Ainsworth.
