Carroll Furman "Pete" Wrenn, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Sandra Delores Patterson Wrenn died Sunday, December 7, 2014. The relatives and friends of Pete Wrenn are invited to attend his funeral service on Thursday, December 11, 2014 in East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road, Mt. Pleasant at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 am until time of the service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. Pete was born July 28, 1933 in St. Stephen, South Carolina, son of the late James Harvey Wrenn and the late Willie Mae Wilson Wrenn. He served in the United States Army and was a former industrial electrician. Pete worked in sales and management with Trident Sanitation in Charleston and Columbia. In 1981 he founded and was CEO of several waste management companies including CDS of Columbia, Inc. and CDS of Charleston, Inc. and other waste management firms. He also served as an investor in enterprises that include The Wrenn Group, LLC and related companies and Container Land Corporation. Pete loved playing the guitar and singing. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his golf buddies. Pete was a loving father and grandfather but most of all he loved and was proud of his wife, Sandra.
Pete is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandra P. Wrenn of Mt. Pleasant, SC; daughter, Traci Wrenn Fort of Hanahan, SC; two sons, Carroll Ray Wrenn of Hanahan, SC and Jody Kyle Wrenn and his wife, Kit, of Mount Pleasant, SC; ten grandchildren, Erica Ann Long, Cameron Wrenn Fort, Sarah Brooke Wrenn, Rachael Leigh Wrenn, Olivia Raye Wrenn, Kaelyn Perry Wrenn, Aubrey Kyle Wrenn, John Coleman Wrenn, Christopher Sullivan Wrenn and Emily Patterson Wrenn. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three siblings, James Harvey Wrenn, Wilma Wrenn Orvin and Leo Franklin Wrenn.
