Carrol Dawson Larisey

Carrol Dawson Larisey, 78, entered into eternal rest on March 23, 2023. Born May 6, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Frank Edward Dawson and the late Iva Capitola Powell Dawson. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, James "Sam" B. Larisey, Jr; daughter, Linn Larisey Lindenberg (Ray); two grandsons, whom she adored, Graham Rivers Lindenberg and James "Max" Maxwell Lindenberg; and sister, Phyllis Dawson Moseley.

Carrol attended St. Andrews High School and graduated from Wade Hampton High School, Greenville, SC. She furthered her education at Palmer College until she entered the workforce with Soil Consultants in Charleston. Once married, she assisted her husband with his business, Larisey Electric, while maintaining a loving home and raising their daughter. 

Carrol was an active participant within the community. She was a member of the Grace Church Cathedral Gracious Gourmets for over twenty years. She was also a member of The Garden Club of Charleston (former long standing Board Member and Treasurer), Rotary Club Auxiliary (former Treasurer), Arion Auxiliary (former President), Ladies Benevolent Society, as well as many bridge groups, her favorite pastime.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy, at 1:00 pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Church Cathedral, 98 Wentworth St., Charleston, SC 29401, or to the hospice care that treated her so lovingly, Caris Healthcare, 821 Orleans Rd., Ste 102, Charleston, SC 29407.
