Carolyn Foster Weeks

Carolyn Foster Weeks, 78, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Theodore "Teddy" Leroy Weeks, Jr., entered into eternal rest Thursday, November 17, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday November 22, 2016 in Ashley River Baptist Church, 1101 Savannah Highway at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Carolyn was born February 11, 1938 in Union, South Carolina, daughter of the late James Corbett Foster, Sr., and Ruth Cabaniss Foster. She loved her South Carolina Stingray Hockey Team and was a 25 year season ticket holder as well as a member of the SC Stingrays Booster Association, a past member of the American Business Woman's Association and Sea Island Republican Women Club. She was an avid tennis player for many years at the Charleston Tennis Center. Her "tennis girls" became her family. Carolyn loved to travel, and was a longtime friend and fan of the Lettermen. She was a longtime member of Ashley River Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher for many years.

Carolyn adored her children and devoted most of her time to her family. She was a loving and dedicated wife, doting mother and a proud Maamaa. She trusted God in everything she faced, loved to sing hymns. She was a caring and selfless person who was always helping those in need.

She is survived by her three daughters, Gail Smith (Carson) of Goose Creek, SC, Denise Weeks Gaskins (David McEwan) of Ladson, SC, Jill Christina Weeks of Charleston, SC; sister, Shirley Carroll Robles (Frank) of Centerville, UT; brother, James "Tony" Corbett Foster (Bettye) of Wando, SC; six grandchildren, Christin Hope Ruiz (Jason), Jason Smith (Ariel), Timothy Gaskins, Cody Gaskins (Kelsey Williams), J.C. Gaskins and Brandon Duncan; three great-grandchildren; two special nephews, Clarence Adams and Steve Adams and family friend Skip Duncan.
