Carolyn June Thacker, 60, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Richard Vivian Thacker, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 14, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Pkwy. at 1:00 pm, and the family will receive friends beginning one hour prior. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Carolyn was born December 18, 1962 in Dumfries, Virginia, daughter of the late James Frederick Bunch and the late Doris Mae Terry Bunch. Carolyn graduated from Orange County High School in Orange, Virginia, and attended Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She was a loving wife and faithful caregiver to her in-laws, Bernard and Jane Thacker. Carolyn was a faithful member of Grace on the Ashley Baptist Church. She participated in the Choir, Women's Auxiliary and taught Sunday School. She is survived by her husband, Richard Vivian Thacker; brother, Mark Bunch; sister, Cedora Coe (husband Danny); and many nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father, James F. Bunch; mother, Doris M. Bunch; brothers, Dennis and J. Michael Bunch; and sister, Diane Winn.

Memorials may be made to Grace on the Ashley Baptist Church, Charleston South Carolina.
