Carolyn Wren Smith, 80, of Hanahan, South Carolina, widow of John C. Smith, entered into eternal rest Friday, September 22, 2023. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 in Highland Park Baptist Church, 6211 Murray Drive at 10:30 am.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am in Highland Park Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC.   Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

Carolyn was born June 1, 1943 in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, daughter of  the late Herman C. Wren and Essie Staley Wren.  She was a administrative assistant working in the school district. She enjoyed Crafting and Gardening but most of all spending time with her family.   

She is survived by her Life Partner, Daniel Reed; son, John Smith of Mt. Pleasant; two grandchildren; Valerie Smith of Mt. Pleasant and Cassidy Smith, daughter in law; Tanya Hazel, and sister in law, Joyce Wren of Moncks Corner and many loved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her late husband; John C. Smith;  son; Jody Smith, two brothers; Tommy Wren and Timmy Wren and two sisters; Betty Schernoltz and Teresa Martin.
