Carolyn Weinstein Knight

Carolyn Weinstein Knight, 67, of Newton , MA, Martha's Vineyard, MA and Charleston, SC, wife of William F. Knight, II, Esq., entered into eternal rest Wednesday, June 12, 2013. Her funeral services will be held at the graveside in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery "Maryville", Sycamore Avenue, Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Carolyn was born July 2, 1945 in Queens, New York, daughter of Samuel S. Weinstein and Olga Garfinkel Weinstein of Charleston, SC. She graduated from Forrest Hills High School, the University of Buffalo with a BFA degree, Philadelphia University of the Arts with a MFA degree and Leslie University with a MFAEd degree. Carolyn was an artist and also an art teacher for 40 years. For 35 years, she taught thousands of children in Newton, MA elementary schools to love and understand art in a way that is rare in the world. She brought color and beauty to all who knew her. Many of us look at the world, Carolyn actually saw the world.

She is survived by her husband: William F. Knight, II, Esq. of Newton, MA; her sister: Elaine W. Forrest (Gerald Rosen, MD) of New York City, NY and her brother: Michael N. Weinstein, MD (Joan) of Newton, MA.
