Carolyn L. Heath, 75, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on January 10, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, 681 McCants Drive, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.

Carolyn was born on May 2, 1950, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Lois and Viola Gaskins. Carolyn grew up in Awendaw, SC where she made lifelong friends, she attended McClellanville High School and graduated from Roper School of Nursing in 1970. She was a cherished member of her community and touched hundreds of lives throughout her remarkable journey.

As a licensed practical nurse (LPN), she displayed dedication and compassion in her work, serving alongside Dr. John Hawk for over 43 years. She also worked for Roper Hospital Physician Partners Surgical Oncology with Dr. J. Chris Hawk, III, Dr. Stanley Wilson, Dr. Daniel Kirchoff, and Dr. Bernardo Franssen Canovas, during her career. Her commitment to healthcare was an embodiment of her caring spirit, as she consistently went above and beyond to ensure the well-being of her patients.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Carolyn attended First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant, SC and was a beloved member of the First Baptist Choir, joining in 1986.

She is survived by one sister, Julia Ellen Cooper of Hamer, SC, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Madison Heath, son, Scott Heath, and siblings, Emma Jean Williams, Earl Gaskins, Harold Gaskins, Russell Gaskins, Joe Gaskins, Lee Gaskins, Harry Gaskins, and Vester Gaskins.
