Carolyn Diane Larsen Via

Carolyn Diane Larsen Via, 68, of Daniel Island, South Carolina, wife of David Martin Via entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 20, 2021. A private memorial service will be held in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Diane was born November 26, 1952 in Quantico, Virginia, one of seven children born to the late Ray Oliver Larsen and Andrea Ross Larsen Gignilliat. She was a professional hairdresser and a member of the National Association of Cosmetology. She was the owner of a beauty salon while living in Maryland. She moved to South Carolina in 1987 with her husband David to continue to work and to live the good life. Diane had a legendary sense of humor and shared her love with people from all walks of life. She made forever friends quickly and everyone felt they were Diane's "favorite". She enjoyed boating and fishing, and was a Life Member of Snee Farm Golf and Country Club.
In addition to her husband of 36 years, David Martin Via, she is survived by her step-daughter, Allyson Via (Scott Grusby) of Newton, MA; her step-son, Darren Via of Germantown, MD; step-grandchildren, Naomi Grusby and Nicole Grusby of Newton, MA; five brothers, Lanse Larsen (Teri) of AZ, Tim Larsen (Sharon) of UT, Jonathan Larsen (Cindi) of MI, Craig Larsen (Monique) of GA, and Mark Larsen (Klaus) of Germany; her sister, Andrea Turner (Walt) of NC; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 3810; or the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504 North Charleston, SC 29406.
