Carolyn "Carol" Umphlet Bradham

Carolyn "Carol" Umphlet Bradham, 69, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Monday, November 4, 2024, after a 29 year battle with cancer. 

Carol was born December 4, 1954 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of Dorothy Annette Umphlet and her late father Clyde Dillard Umphlet, Jr. She worked for Storm Eye Institute at MUSC for many years, and retired as a clinical research coordinator. She loved the beach, going out on the boat, Clemson football, and most of all, her family. She also enjoyed dancing and her soul sisters yearly beach trip. She took a trip of a life time in July with her Clemson friends cruising around the Mediterranean 

She will be known as a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, great aunt, and friend. 

She is survived by children, Brandy Willard Gibson (William Thames), Stephen Douglas Willard, Jr.; grandchildren, Madison Brooks Amrhein (Jonathan), Chad Gibson, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Chase and Stetson Amrhein; siblings, Kathy Marcey (Danny), Clyde Dillard Umphlet III (Janey Liggins), Kenny Umphlet; nieces and nephews, Angelo Marcey (Leigh), Danny Marcey Jr, Dillard Umphlet IV (Ashley), Bodie Umphlet; and great nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Connor, Andrew, and Lila Marcey, Matthew Umphlet, and Ella Marcey. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at West Ashley Outboard Motor Club,3450 McLeod Mill Rd. Johns Island SC. on December 7th at 1:00 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to MUSC Hollings Cancer Center.
