Caroline Ashbury Read, 8, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, daughter of Courtenay Smith Read and the late Scott B. Read passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015.

Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 16, 2015 in the Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road.

Caroline was born August 24, 2006 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, and was a student at Pattison's Academy.

She is survived by her loving mom, Courtenay Smith Read of Mount Pleasant, SC; her sisters, Samantha Read and Elsie Read of Mount Pleasant, SC; her maternal-grandmother, Clair Smith of Mount Pleasant, SC; paternal-grandfather, Jim Read of CT and her paternal-grandmother, Barbara Read of CA.
