Caroline Mills, Greenville, SC – Caroline B. Mills, 82, widow of F. Holland Mills, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 28, 2026. Caroline was born in Newark, N.J. She pursued studies at New York School of Interior Design. In 1969, she married her childhood sweetheart, Holland, and the couple made their home in Charleston, South Carolina. Caroline enjoyed a successful career at Elizabeth O’Neill Verner Studio and served on the board of an advocacy organization for individuals with disabilities until deciding to stay at home and care for her husband after a prolonged illness. She was a nature enthusiast and enjoyed birding with her husband as well as painting art together. Surviving is a son, Holland Mills from Orwigsburg, PA, as well as her in-laws, Charles Hoyt Mills, Jr. of North Charleston, SC, Perry Mills of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Cecil Mills of McClellanville, SC, and Melissa Foster of Monck’s Corner, SC. There will be a visitation at 9:30 AM and a memorial service at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Mount Calvary Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor David Boyd. The Committal service will be on October 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the McClellanville Methodist Cemetery, located on Jeremy Creek at the end of Old Cemetery Road in McClellanville, S.C.
