Caroline was born August 13,1948 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Reverend Robert Lovell Oliveros and Rosa Burnet Oliveros. Caroline graduated from Wade Hampton High School in Greenville, SC and later obtained a degree in medical records management. Over the course of her career, she worked for several hospitals, including the Medical University of South Carolina from which she retired after 20 years of service. She was a life-long Episcopalian, active in the Altar Guild of St. Stephens, the Ladies Benevolent Society, and the Gibbes Museum of Art.
Caroline and her late husband Charlie were a fun-loving, adventurous couple. They enjoyed traveling to the Morgan antique car club (MOG) meets and rallies throughout North America as well as abroad. They resided in the family home on Gibbes Street for the last 20 years. Caroline cherished this home and her neighbors to whom she was forever grateful for their friendship and assistance.
Caroline was passionate about the history and legacy of the city of Charleston, and Charlestonians. As an avid reader, she participated in book clubs and faithfully read the local newspaper every morning. Caroline had impeccable taste and style with an affinity for the finer things in life. She was accepting and loving of all people, comfortable conversing with just about anyone, and loved socializing with others. Her friendship and diplomatic southern charm will be greatly missed. She endured many months of illness with determination and grace.
