Carol Ann Sansbury Wheeler

Carol Ann Sansbury Wheeler, 61, of Charleston, South Carolina and wife of Daniel Ray Wheeler, went to her home in heaven Tuesday morning, November 27, 2012. Born December 29, 1951 in Charleston, South Carolina, she was one of seven children of the late H.A. Sansbury and the late Eunice Marshall Sansbury. Carol graduated from St. Andrews High School and MUSC College of Allied Health in Radiologic Technology. She worked at local hospitals for 32 years as a Radiologic Technologist and an Ultrasound Technologist. She volunteered and was on staff at the Lowcountry Pregnancy Center as an Ultrasound Technologist. During her service at the center, she was instrumental in starting their ultrasound ministry, which has saved many babies from abortion. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother, but most of all she cherished being a child of God through her faith in Jesus Christ.She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Daniel Ray Wheeler; two daughters, Crystal Wheeler Wright and her husband, Robert, of Lafayette, Alabama, and Julie Wheeler Coyne and her husband, Rex of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; and 6 grandchildren, Rob Wright, Nathan Wright, Christopher Wright, Caroline Wright, Ella Marcey, and Hudson Coyne; three brothers, Chester E. Sansbury of Columbia, South Carolina, Marshal A. Sansbury of Fort Worth, Texas, John P. Sansbury of Charleston, South Carolina; and two sisters, Barbara S. Bowman of Charlotte, North Carolina and Betty S. Rowland of Greer, South Carolina.The family will receive friends from 4:30 until 5:30pm Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Charleston Baptist Church, 13 San Miguel Road, Charleston.A service in celebration of Carol's life will be held at 5:30pm Thursday at Charleston Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Jack Moore. Interment will be at 11:00am Friday in Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, South Carolina. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC.
