Carol W. Jones

Carol Sue Jones, 74, loving wife of 55 years to Pierce Roy Jones, Jr, entered into eternal rest Saturday, August 10, 2013 at her North Charleston home surrounded by her loving family. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Peace Lutheran Church, 8315 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC 29418 at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow in the Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will receive friends Tuesday, August 13, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, North Charleston, SC 29406 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Carol was born September 28, 1938 in Chelsea, MA, she was the daughter of Leon Rester Wilson and Louisa Rebecca Wilson. When she was 5 years old she met Roy, age 13, at church. They married August 20, 1958. Carol was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and a retired bookkeeper for Johnson and Johnson Insurance Company.

She is survived by her husband, Roy Jones; daughter Sheri Bostick and her spouse David of Summerville, SC; son Mark Jones of North Charleston, SC; brother Dr. Lee Wilson and his wife Ruth of North Charleston, SC; sister Doris Branham and her companion Marvin Shepard both of Santee, SC; sister-in-law Beverly Gosnell of Hoover, AL; two granddaughters Stacey Bostick of Moncks Corner, SC, and Rebecca Bostick of Summerville, SC; many nieces and nephews.
