Carol S. Davis, 76, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of James Edward Davis, entered into eternal peace Sunday, April 21, 2019. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at Holy Cross Cemetery, James Island, at 3:00 pm.

Carol was born November 26, 1942 in Bronx, New York, daughter of the late John Joseph Steinlein and Margaret McKenna Steinlein. She was a graduate of St. Pascal Baylon High School in St. Albans, NY. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, and sister. She served as a volunteer at East Cooper Hospital and was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church. She enjoyed birdwatching and reading. Her most treasured moments were traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Julie Davis Jackson (Tim) of North Charleston, SC; Marjorie Davis Bokern (Joey, who Carol loved like a son) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her brother, Fred Steinlein and his wife Maureen, who was like a sister to Carol, of Coconut Creek, FL; four grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Maggie Bokern, Grace Deaton, and Joseph Bokern. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Joseph Steinlein.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, PO Box 326, Chamberlain, SD 57326 or Roper Hospice, 1484 Tobias Gadson Blvd, Suite 208A, Charleston, SC 29407.
