Carol Elizabeth Brunette-Rowland, 81, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of the late Donald Cookman Rowland died Thursday, June 1, 2017. Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends Saturday in the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 10:00 am until time of the service.

Carol was born August 11, 1935 in Belton, South Carolina, daughter of the late Leroy Broome and the late Sarah Gurley Broome. She was a retired bookkeeper. Carol was an avid reader, loved to cook for her family and friends and enjoyed working in her garden. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, April A. Thompson, Rachel Brunette, Michael Williamson, David Williamson, Bryan Williamson, Christopher Williamson and Patrick Brunette; ten grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kerri Jarkofsky and a brother, Dan W. Broome.
