Papa was born September 14, 1932 in Siracusa, Sicily, son of the late Raimondo and Anna Furno Giordano. A retired engineer with White Stack Towing, he was a veteran of the Italian Navy, and also served as an officer of the Merchant Marines. Papa enjoyed renovating and restoring homes, and helped give many families an opportunity to secure a home when they might not have otherwise had a chance. He loved to ride his bicycle and he especially loved to spoil his grandchildren. A devout man, he always carried the church in his heart. Above all Papa truly loved his wife and was a devoted husband of 56 years to his beloved Rosemary.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Farrell Giordano; his daughters: Tamara Giordano-Williams and husband, Tom, of Charleston, Rosemary Giordano Thompson and husband, Robert, of Sullivans Island, Roxanna Giordano of Sullivans Island, Carmela Giordano Jackson and husband, Donald, of Mt.
