Carmelita Lankas Hair

Carmelita Lankas Hair, 77, of Johns Island, South Carolina, wife of Jimmy Archie Hair entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 8, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 12, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens.

Carmelita was born August 1, 1940 in Lewisburg, Tennessee, daughter of the late Flora Sue Lankas. She was a retired U.S. Postal Service Carrier. Carmelita was an active member of Boy Scouts of America Pack 63 and Troop 63.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Jimmy Archie Hair of Johns Island, SC; daughter, Cynthia Hair Kessler of Johns Island, SC; son, James "Jimbo" Archie Hair and his wife Barbara of Ravenel, SC; two grandchildren, Caroline Sewell, Andrew Sewell and brother Gary Lankas of Turkey Creek, NC.
