Carl Wilbur Weiss 78, of Charleston, SC died Saturday, February 11, 2012, in Charleston, SC.
Born July 22, 1933 in Radcliffe, Ohio he was the son of the late Harry Weiss and Mabel Marie Erwin Weiss. He was a mechanic with the State Ports Authority.
Mr. Weiss is survived by his four children, Mark Weiss, Jeffrey Alan Weiss, Karen Gilmore and her husband Miles, and Gary Weiss and his wife Rebecca; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters: Patricia Wudi and Eloise Barnes; brothers: Hubert Weiss, David Weiss and Michael Weiss. A sister, Sandy Tainer, preceded Mr. Weiss in death.
The funeral service for Mr. Weiss will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Friday, February 17, 2012 at 9:30 am. Interment with military honors will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the VFW, 3555 Dorchester Road, N. Charleston, SC 29405.
