Carl Eugene "Corkie" Ashenfelter, 65, of North Charleston, SC, died Friday, December 8, 2017. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date at the residence. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel.
Corkie was born October 31, 1952 in Watertown, NY, the only son of Virginia L. Campbell Ashenfelter and the late Carl Leroy Ashenfelter. He was a US Army veteran and worked for Lucky D's Amusement. He was a member of the Charleston Area Model Railroad Club.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Priscilla Lynne Dangerfield Ashenfelter and mother, Virginia L. Ashenfelter both of North Charleston, SC; two sons, Michael Ashenfelter (Elizabeth) of Summerville, SC and Karl Ashenfelter (LaDonna) of Moncks Corner, SC; three grandchildren, Emily Long, Sarah Long and Valerie Ashenfelter; great-grandson, Colton Long; and his beloved dogs: Baby One, Baby Two, Bobo and Chewy.
