Carl Albert Campbell

Carl Albert Campbell, 72, husband of Deborah Marie Yarnell Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2011.  The relatives and friends of Carl "Butch" Campbell are invited to attend a Celebration of His Life on Saturday, August 20, 2011 in J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 10:00 am.  Burial will be private.  The family will greet friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 9:00 until time of the service.  Butch was born on July 3, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Eugene Campbell and Katherine Sheets Campbell. He was a locksmith at Zipf Lock Shop.  He spent his retirement traveling, working in his yard, enjoying his pontoon boat and hanging out with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one son, Darin Campbell and his wife, Vanessa, of Carroll, OH; one step-son, Garret Lipecky and his wife, Stephanie, of Evans, GA; one sister, Katigene  McMillin of Blacklick, OH; and three grandchildren, Ms. Brittany Sark and Colton Campbell of Carroll, OH and Ms. Peyton Lipecky of Evans, GA.  He is also survived by nieces, Lynn Fields and Shara Frush and her husband, Don, of Columbus, OH and Tommie Snodgrass and her husband, Chris, of Reynoldsburg, OH and one nephew, Gene McMillin and his wife, Jessie, of Bloomingburg, OH. Butch was also survived by his blessed caregivers, Beverly Saunders and June Bell, caregiver and friend. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Fields. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Butch's memory to the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, P.O. Box 250955, Charleston, SC  29425 or Hospice of Charleston Foundation, 676 Wando Park Boulevard, Mt. Pleasant, SC  29464.
