Candace Shirer Orvin Palmer

Entered into eternal rest on the morning of July 10, 2011, Candace Shirer Orvin Palmer, wife of Tomis W. Palmer.  Residence, Mt. Pleasant, SC. The relatives and friends of Tomis W. Palmer are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter, Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. in St. Philip's Episcopal Church. Interment will be private.  Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Candace was born on May 4, 1947, the daughter of Dr. George H. Orvin and Rosalie Salvo Orvin.  She was a graduate of Ashley Hall and George Washington University.  She was a Real Estate Agent with Carolina One Real Estate and a member of St. Philip's Episcopal Church. 

She is survived by her husband of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her parents of Charleston, SC; two sisters:  Debra Ann Orvin of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Nancy Lee Orvin (James) Brumby of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one brother:  Jay Scott (Kathleen) Orvin of Mt. Pleasant; one sister-in-law:  Joyce Ann (Steve) Linbeck of Illinois; and two brother-in-laws:  Marvin Waddy of Bonneau, SC and Stanley Lee Palmer of Illinois.  She is predeceased by:  her maternal grandparents: George Clifton A. Salvo and May D. Stewart Salvo; her paternal grandparents: Jesse W. Orvin and Ruth Walton Orvin; and her brother-in-law:  Jimmy Lee Palmer.
