Calvin Coolidge DuPont

Calvin Coolidge "C.C." DuPont, 83, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Margaret Lee DuPont, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 17, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday, April 21, 2013 in the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 712 Wappoo Road at 2:00 pm. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5 to 7 pm in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Calvin was born May 31, 1929 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of James O. Platt and Minnie Lee Warren Platt. He was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, former member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge and a member of the Charleston Men's Bowling League. C.C. was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was retired from the Charleston Naval Weapons Station as a Crane Operator, Ordinance Missile Handler.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret Lee DuPont; son, Calvin Dennis DuPont (Annie) of Charleston; two daughters, Sharon DuPont Miller (Larry) of Charleston, Cynthia DuPont Judelsohn (Rob) of Charleston; six grandchildren, Robert Wesley Burke, Jr. (Bonnie), Brandi Burke Walker (Kris), Randy DuPont (Rachael), Megan DuPont (Rob), Emily Judelsohn Cox (Fred), Robert Lee Judelsohn, USAF. The nine great-grandchildren are Hannah, Andrew, Wyatt, Ella, Kennan, Nicholas, Kaylee, Braije and Brantley. Calvin was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeffrey David DuPont and two sisters.
