Bruce A. Bloomingburg

Bruce A. Bloomingburg, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Mary Clyburn Bloomingburg, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 27, 2015. His funeral service will be held Saturday, October 31, 2015, in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Bruce was born August 28, 1928 in Charleston, SC, son of the late Henry Thomas Bloomingburg and Sue Viard Bloomingburg. He was a sales representative in the meat industry for 45 years. Bruce was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church where he served as deacon, teacher, choir member, and also on many committees. He was a member of the SC High School Officials Association of basketball for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Bloomingburg; three sons: Bruce Henry Bloomingburg, Eddie Bloomingburg, and Robert Bloomingburg; four grandchildren: Bruce Christopher Bloomingburg, Henry Max Bloomingburg, Cynthia Lauryn Bloomingburg, and Ava Marie Bloomingburg; and several nieces and nephews. Bruce is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and four brothers.
