Brittin Andrew Penninger

Brittin Andrew Penninger, 24, of Awendaw, SC passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2011. The relatives and friends of Brittin Penninger are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 in Ocean Grove United Methodist Church, Awendaw, SC at 3:00 pm.  Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.  The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Brittin was born on March 11, 1987 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, son of Gene "Tim" Thames Penninger and Terri Hallman-Chapman. He graduated from Wando High School and studied cooking under the Seewee Restaurant cooks and was a chef with Morgan Creek Grill.  He was an avid outdoorsman and naturalist and loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his father, Gene "Tim" Penninger of Awendaw, SC; his mother, Terri Hallman-Chapman of Goose Creek, SC, his fianc�, Kristin Neal of Isle of Palms, SC, paternal grandmother, Mary Rancourt of Awendaw, SC; maternal grandmother, Brooke Hallman of Mount Pleasant, SC; a maternal aunt and a paternal uncle, cousins, and many friends that loved him so much. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, B.G. Penninger and his maternal grandfather, The Honorable Harry M. Hallman, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ocean Grove United Methodist Church, 6517 Hwy 17 N, Awendaw, SC 29429.
