Brice McCluer Kinard

Brice McCluer Kinard, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 14, 2023. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 18, 2023 in the Bryce W. Herndon Ehrhardt Chapel, 2515 Lowcountry Hwy, Ehrhardt, SC from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. A graveside service will be held immediately following in Ehrhardt Cemetery at 6:30 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel.

Brice was born September 8, 1929 in Ehrhardt, South Carolina, son of the late Josiah Hallman Kinard and Lula Blume Kinard. 

He married the love of his life, Ophelia Gilliam, on September 15, 1950. They made their home together on James Island. Brice enjoyed fresh water fishing and raising Boxers. His best loved dogs were Butch and Capper. Brice retired from Frisch Associates in 2007 where he was employed as a cabinet maker for 42 years.

Brice was preceded in death by his wife, Ophelia Kinard. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
