Brian Leslie William Over

Brian Leslie William Over, 80, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of the late Anne Over died Thursday, January 8, 2015. The relatives and friends of Brian are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive at 11:00 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held following the Mass at 2:30 pm at Mepkin Abbey Columbarium. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Brian was born February 22, 1934 in London, England, son of the late Leslie Over and the late Violet Clarke Over. He worked as a Civil Engineer in London, & moved to Charleston to live with his daughter in 2007. Brian was a kind, gentle, quiet & generous man who had a deep faith and an enquiring mind, with particular interest in reading about the subjects of science and religion. He loved animals & nature. He endured a long illness, & during the final months of his life, received outstanding compassionate care and support from the staff of Carolina Hospice, for which his family are deeply grateful.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda McKenzie of Mount Pleasant, SC; one son, Alex Over and his wife, Yvonne, of Weston, MA; one brother, Clive Over of London, England; three grandsons, Jonathan Over, Daniel Over and Timothy Over as well as beloved sister-in-law, Rosie Deacon of Manchester, England.
