Brenda McCartha Wood, 73, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina died Saturday, March 3, 2018. All services will be private. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.
Brenda was born May 20, 1944 in Columbia, South Carolina, daughter of the late Carl Franklin McCartha and Julia Elizabeth Johnson McCartha. She is survived by three sons, Donald Baker of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Daniel Baker of Columbia, SC, and Mark Baker of Columbia, SC; her sister, Bonnie Shumaker, also of Columbia, SC; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Ard, and her brother, Frank McCartha, Jr.
Memorials may be made to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406.
