Brenda Gay Vowels

Brenda Gay Vowels, 59, of Awendaw, South Carolina, wife of David J. Vowels entered into eternal rest Tuesday, October 31, 2023. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel.                                                                                                                                                              
There will be a celebration of life following the service at the Vowels' residence. 

Brenda was born March 6, 1964, in Lafayette, Louisiana, daughter of Jamelle Nuckols Williams and the late Lewis Maurice Williams.  She will be remembered for the home she created and the way she loved her family and friends. 

She is survived by her husband of  37 years, David Vowels of Awendaw, SC; son, Jordan Scott Vowels of Charlotte, NC; mother, Jamelle Williams of Montgomery, TX; sister, Pamela Jan Williams of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and brother, Robert Bryan Williams of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by father, Lewis Maurice Williams, and son, Shawn Michael Vowels.
