Brenda Bowick Johnson

Brenda Bowick Johnson, widow of Frank James Johnson, entered into eternal rest on the morning of March 8, 2012. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Sunday, March 11, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. in Citadel Square Baptist Church Chapel. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Saturday between 4:00 and 6:00 P.M.

Mrs. Johnson was born January 20, 1940 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Emmett Bowick and Eve Hazel Beard Bowick. She was a graduate of Anderson College, SC Baptist Hospital and received a BSN from The Medical College of Georgia in 1978. Brenda was a member of Citadel Square Baptist Church and was a Registered Nurse.

She is survived by two daughters: Dr. Christine L. Hunter and her husband Dr. Jairy C. Hunter, III of North Charleston, SC and Denise L. Schaffner and her husband Gary of Apex, NC; two brothers: Reverend Dr. Emmett Donald Bowick of Charleston, SC and Clarence Lee Bowick of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren: Lee Andrew Cupick, Ryan Schaffner, Mark Schaffner, Lily Cate Hunter and Ella Hunter.
