Bradley Stewart Beck, 70, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 with his family at his bedside.
Brad was born July 23, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio, one of six children, to the late Charles Henry Beck and the late Frances Beck. After serving in the United States Army, he had a successful career in the utility industry, retiring from Sumter Utilities. He took pride in his career and truly enjoyed the friendships he made with his co-workers. Brad was a Porsche enthusiast, an avid golfer, and enjoyed home remodeling. Brad was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who was greatly loved and our times and memories together will be treasured forever.
Brad is survived by his wife of almost 52 years, Diana (Crum) Beck: daughters, Jennifer Gibson and her husband, Paul, and Elizabeth Beck and her companion, Joe Titus; one very loved grandson, Charles Bradley Gibson, who brought great joy to his later years. Brad also left behind many family and friends who will miss him dearly.
His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 am. Entombment will follow at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm.
