Brad Love of Mt. Pleasant and formerly of Camden, SC, died suddenly on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, surrounded by his family and close friends.
A Memorial Service honoring Bradford (Brad) E. Love will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at J. Henry Stuhr Funeral Home - Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, Mount Pleasant.
Brad grew up in Camden where he was active in Boy Scouts and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Following his graduation from Camden High School, Brad attended The Citadel, graduating as member of Echo Company in 1989. He developed many life-long friendships while at the Citadel and later become a brother in Kappa Alpha Order.
Throughout his life, Brad always worked and looked for opportunities to make his way in the world. With his entrepreneurial spirit, he was a risk-taker and not afraid to try new business adventures. He had a strong work ethic and was successful at many different jobs, but the one of which he was most proud was starting his own accounting firm in Mt. Pleasant. As a one-man-show for most of this career, Brad not only served his clients with accounting tasks, but he developed meaningful relationships with them. They knew that he cared about them as people, and not just as clients. While making a living was important, it was more important to Brad that he followed his servant’s heart in his accounting office.
Brad loved being outdoors as much as possible and appreciated the wonderful gifts of nature. He loved to hunt in Camden with his childhood friends and his nephew, Sam. He was especially fond of the mountains in North Carolina and could sit for hours in the woods, just soaking in the peace and beauty of it all. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, hiking and spending time with friends at Folly Beach, as well as travelling with his wife Karen and their friends. He was drawn to the magic of New York City during the holidays and was always up for great concert.
While proud of his own professional accomplishments, it was most important to Brad to be a person of integrity, compassion, and loyalty. If he shook your hand, looked you in the eye and gave you his word, it meant everything. He was a giver and never expected anything in return – his giving all came from his huge heart. Even with his passing, he selflessly gave through organ and tissue donations so that others might have hope in living full and healthy lives.
One of Brad’s biggest passions was serving on the board for Camp Rise Above for seven years, and as Board Chair for three of those years. Providing overnight and day camp experiences for children and young adults with serious illnesses and disabilities brought great joy to Brad. He loved volunteering in any capacity for CRA, and if you ever had the privilege of talking with him about the camps, you would see the sparkle in his eyes and hear the happiness in his voice.
Brad was a genuinely good man who touched many people throughout his life. He was generous with his time and money. When he saw need, he was there to assist. When you needed an ear, he was there to listen. Like any Eagle Scout, he was always prepared. He was the kind of friend and family member that everyone would love to have, and he was a loving husband to Karen.
Brad is survived by his beloved wife of 17 years, Karen Sircely Love of Mt. Pleasant; his sister, Cynthia “Cindy” Love Cole (Jay) of Camden; step-children, Taylor Hopkins of Mt. Pleasant and Emily Hopkins (Adam Zafiroff) of Charleston; special nephew who was like a son to Brad, Samuel “Sam” N. Perez (Melissa Rafte), of Hanahan, SC; sister-in-law, Joanne Wong (Grand) of Edmond, OK; brothers-in-law, Bryan Sircely (Toni) of Plano, TX and Joseph E. Sircely (Kate) of Frisco, TX; former brother-in law and forever friend, Anthony Perez; nephews, Christian Wong, Camden Wong, Luke Sircely, Richard Perez (Laura), and John (“Gill”) Perez (Marshall); nieces, Lauren Wong, Izzy Hatcher, Claire Sircely, and Cantey Perez Barwick (Hunter); and mother-in-law, Darlene Rittle Sircely.
Brad was predeceased by his father-in-law, Joseph “Joe” William Sircely.
