Brad Allen Eastman, 45, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, husband of Julie Ann Jarrell Eastman, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 25, 2026, following complications from Guillain-Barre syndrome. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Brad will be honored with military honors during a private service for immediate family.
Born on October 30, 1980, in Charleston, West Virginia, Brad was the son of Deborah Lynn Moore Eastman and the late John Edward Eastman. He answered the call to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Air Force. In 2003, he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as an enlisted airman, and later continued his service as a commissioned officer with the 130th Air Wing, Medical Group.
Brad pursued a career in medicine, earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree and practicing as an anesthesiologist and critical care physician. He completed advanced fellowship training in anesthesiology critical care medicine and worked at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he cared for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit. His work involved managing complex, life threatening conditions, coordinating multidisciplinary care teams, and supporting patients families during critical decision making. He was respected for his clinical skill, sound judgment, and steady presence in high acuity settings, and was regarded by colleagues as a reliable and dedicated physician.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Eastman, and their two daughters, Clara and Ruby, all of Mount Pleasant; his mother, Deborah Polley (David); three brothers, Christopher Eastman (Emily), Jeremy Eastman (Michele), and Stephen Eastman; his sister, Stephanie Cantrell; five nephews, Elijah Eastman (Raia), Cooper Eastman, Zayne Cantrell, John Michael McKinney, and Riley McKinney; six nieces, Fiona Eastman, Nora Eastman, Abigail Eastman, Rylee Cantrell, Emery Cantrell, and Morgan Jarrell; two brothers in law, Gary Wayne Jarrell Jr. (Christina) and Jason Jarrell; and his father in law, Gary Wayne Jarrell Sr. In addition to his father, John Edward Eastman, he was preceded in death by his brother, Matthew Eastman, and his mother in law, Margaret Jarrell.
