Bonnie Mae Way Joy, 86, of Charleston, SC, wife of Lt. Cdr. Joseph Eugene Joy, USN (Ret.), entered into eternal rest Friday, April 12, 2013. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in Harbor Light Baptist Church, 1300 Fort Johnson Road, at 11:00 am. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Bonnie was born April 9, 1927 in Jefferson County, Alabama, daughter of the late Herbert Wilson and Ida Mae Woodard Wilson. She was a graduate of Murray Vocational High School and a member of Harbor Light Baptist Church.

She is survived by her spouse; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Christine; and one great-granddaughter, Morgan. She was preceded in death by her son, Jody, and daughter, Angela.
