Bonnie Louise Hankins

Bonnie Louise Hankins, 81, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Wilson P. Hankins, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 22, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the J. HENRY STUHR INC, WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, at 2:00 pm. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway. The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following funeral services at 2064 Idlewood Lane, Charleston, 29414.

Bonnie was born March 21, 1932 in Cassville, Missouri, daughter of Marion Jacob Black and Iva Taylor Black. She was a retired Secretary with C.E. Williams Middle School and attended Ashley River Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn J. Hankins of Charleston; Kendra L. Morton of Yelm, WA; son, Richard L. Hankins of Riverview FL; granddaughter, Bonnie Malia (Samuel Axe) Morton; and brothers, Billy Don Black of Wakarusa, KS, Randall Leon Black of Cassville, MO, Bobby Gale Black of Bella Vista, AR.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations in memory of Bonnie may be made to the Alzheimer's Association SC Chapter, 2090 Executive Hall Road, Suite 130, Charleston, SC 29407.
