Bonnie Thornley Buskirk, 87, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Thomas E. Buskirk, Jr. and John P. Katzbach, Jr. entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 25, 2020. Her private funeral service will be held graveside in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Bonnie was born October 9, 1932 in Hemingway, South Carolina, one of nine children of the late Doyle A Thornley and Alma Davis Thornley. She was an avid ballroom dancer, loved exercise classes and enjoyed gardening.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Karen Cooper (Martin) of Mount Pleasant, SC; three sons: Mark Buskirk of Beaufort, SC, Kenneth Buskirk (Linda) of Longwood, FL, Scott Buskirk of Mount Pleasant, SC; two brothers: Roger Thornley (Carol) of Charleston, SC and Joseph Thornley (Barbara) of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren: Andrea, Tommy, Abigail, Victoria and Ashley; one great-grandchild, Ciara; and two step-grandchildren: Nathan and Alex.
